Before yoga, I worked for over a decade as a fashion and celebrity photographer. Through that journey, I met people from all walks of life, traveled, observed, listened, and learned to see people deeply — beyond appearance, culture, and language. Today, I bring my cultural roots, artistic eye, and emotional intuition into my work.  

Rooted in Japanese tradition, refined through human experience

My background is uniquely rooted in traditional Japanese culture. I was born and raised in Tokyo in a very traditional family, learning classical Japanese arts such as Nihon-buyo (traditional dance…yes it’s me, in the photo!), Koto, Shamisen, and I hold a certification in Ikebana. These practices naturally shaped my Zen-inspired, mindful, and harmonious approach to wellness, movement, and life.
